Immer häufiger kommen Anfragen, warum die Joomla 1.5-Seite nach durchgeführtem Update nicht mehr funktioniert. Das Frontend wirft auf einmal einen 404-Fehler aus, das Backend zeigt ominöse Fehlermeldungen wie folgende:

Hier hat die tolle Update-Komponente wieder zugeschlagen, die ein Update auf Joomla 1.6 vorschlägt. Das ist allerdings nicht möglich, zumindest derzeit nicht und schon gar nicht auf eine 1.6-Alpha-Version.
Um den Fehler zu beheben, müssen Sie Joomla 1.5.X (immer die aktuellste Version von Joomla.org) herunterladen, lokal entpacken, den /installation-Ordner löschen und die Vollversion der aktuellsten Joomla-Version über die vermeintlich aktualisierte Version hochladen und diese überschreiben. Die durch das "Update" beschädigten Dateien werden somit durch die funktionierenden Joomla 1.5.X-Dateien ersetzt.
