Hallo,

meine erste Frage bezieht sich auf das einrichten von Mail Adressen.
Ich kann emails versenden, aber nicht empfangen. Ich denke es liegt daran, dass ich den POP3 Server nicht richtig definiert habe. (Client "The Bat") Im normalfall mail.domain.com , oder? Ist eine entsprechende Authentifikation notwendig?


Meine zweite Frage bezieht sich auf die Rechtevergabe. Gibt es dazu evtl. eine kurze doku zum Nachlesen ect.? Mich würde nur interessieren in wie fern die verschiedenen Gruppen /Author-Editor-Publisher in das System eingreifen können bzw in welchen Modulen die rechte greifen?

Ihr Pop3-Server ist Ihredomain.de, Ihr Benutzername ist webXYp1 (Ihr Web, dahinter dann Ihr Postfach), das Passwort wird in Confixx angelegt, wo Sie es auch ändern können.

In Thunderbird reicht die Eingabe von Ihredomain.de als Pop3-Server, manche Email-Clients benötigen auch pop.Ihredoamin.de.

Bei uns funktioniert ihredomain.de als POP3-Server wunderbar. Im Notfall müssten Sie für das Postfach nochmal das Passwort im Confixx ändern.

Im Grunde ist es so, dass Publisher News über das Frontend einreichen, ändern oder löschen können, Manager und Administratoren haben auch Zugriff auf das Backend, können aber keine Komponenten löschen, dies kann nur der SuperAdministrator.

Sobald ein User als Superadministrator angelegt ist, kann er über Mambo nicht mehr gelöscht werden, dies kann nur über die Datenbank erfolgen.

Ich hoffe, das hilft etwas weiter.

Edit: Im Backend von Mambo unter "Help" ist folgendes zu finden:

Registered - This group allows the user to login to the Frontend interface.
  Author - This group allows a user to post content, usually via a link in the User Menu.
  Editor - This group allows a user to post and edit any content item in your web site.
  Publisher - This group allows a user to post, edit and publish any content item in your web site.
  There are three (3) Administrator groups that allow access to the Mambo Administration section:
  Manager - This group allows access to content creation and other system information.
  Administrator - This group allows access to most administration functions, for example, changing templates, and adding Modules, and Components etc. They can administer lesser users (editors and users) but cannot create other Administrators.
  Super Administrator - This group allows access to all administration functions. The Super Administrator can create any other user type (except another Super Administrator).
  NOTE: You cannot assign a new or existing user to a group "higher" than yourself (for example, a user in the Administrator group cannot create or edit a user in the Super Administrator group). A user in the Super Administrator group cannot be removed from this group, nor can they be deleted.
